Dr. Hazrat Ali

Dr. Hazrat Ali is currently a researcher in artificial intelligence and healthcare at Hamad Bin Khalifa University Qatar. Previously, he was a senior researcher at Biomedical Engineering R&D center of Umea University Hospital Sweden and Umea University Sweden. His research interests lie in unsupervised learning, deep generative and discriminative approaches, medical imaging, and speech and image processing. He has authored/co-authored more than 50 publications in various international journals and conferences including Nature Scientific Reports, IET Computer Vision, Neural Computing & Applications (Springer), and International Conferences on Neural Information Processing Systems (NeurIPS).
He is a senior member of IEEE, and a member of the Swedish AI Society. He serves as Associate Editor at IEEE and as Academic Editor at PeerJ Computer Science. He has served as session chair at Machine Intelligence and Signal Processing (MISP 2022). He has been the lead organizer of the 2021 NeurIPS meet-up in Doha, Qatar and the 2020 meet-up in Umea, Sweden. He is PC member at leading international conferences including International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN 2022), MICCAI 2022, NeurIPS 2021, and ACL 2020. He has delivered invited talks at various national and international venues including St. John University New York USA, Biomedical Engineering R & D of Umea University Sweden, and International Conference on Computational Sciences and Technology (INCCST 2019)..
